Come join one of our two adult Sunday School classes each Sunday beginning at 9:45.  Meet some great people and learn more about God’s Word.

Sundays in August – We’ve had a great time with our “throwback” celebrations this month.  The last Sunday of the month will be a special “old-time” Sunday morning service followed by a luncheon.  Watch your bulletin for details.

Sunday September 26th will be the church picnic following the morning service.

Love music?  Love to sing?  Then join the choir.  No experience required.  Blessings will be provided.

Take a moment today to thank the preacher, the choir, the worship leader, your Sunday School teacher, church staff – just thank someone who makes our church a great place to worship.

Why do you feel you cant talk to your

parents sometimes?

(student submitted question)

* It can be awkward

* Because I feel they will judge me or tell me I’m wrong instead of helping me.

* Cause they won’t just listen.  They always need to respond when you don’t want a response.

* Because it’s embarrassing.  It’s like you will get into trouble for your opinion about something or they won’t like you anymore.

* Because I don’t wanna get yelled at or something.

* Because they aren’t living in the “same world”.

* Because it’s embarrassing sometimes.

* Because you will be afraid of how they will talk back.

* I think they might not want to talk.

So how cool was VBS?  We had no less than 22 middle and high school students every night.  What a fun time we had learning about God’s love for us and exploring God’s Word.  We truly hope each of you not only enjoyed your time during VBS, but learned something new about our awesome Creator.

On Sundays we are journeying through the book of James.  Come prepared to be awed with our amazing God and His amazing love for us.   James’ readers were bombarded with trials, their circumstances were humble, and, to top it all, they were dogged by temptation.  Sound familiar?

On Wednesdays we are working through a Parents & Family study by Jim Burns.  We are studying God’s word about “Honoring and Obeying” and will discuss “Walking in Your Parent’s Shoes” this coming week.

Your attendance at church is VITAL to your Christian walk/living!  With everything going on, I know it is very easy to stay up/out late on the weekends and therefore overlook the importance of regular church attendance.  Remember that one week without God, makes one weak!  Our Creator DESERVES so much more than our leftovers.  Attending church and learning more about Him through His Word brings Him honor and brings us strength.

If getting to church is ever a problem, just pick up the phone and call me.  I know a lot of wonderful people at this church who would be willing to come by and pick ya up.

Thinking about inviting a friend or two to church?  Now would be a great time!
