This congregation is endeavoring to be a New Testament Church:

By Wearing a New Testament Name 

. . .  The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch. - Acts 11:26

However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed but praise God that you bear that name. - I Peter 4:16

By Believing a New Testament Creed

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven.  And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”   - Matthew 16:16-18

By Obeying a New Testament Baptism

“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death . . .” - Romans 6:4

“and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also - not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of good conscience toward God.  It saves you be the resurrection of Jesus Christ,” - I Peter 3:21

By Observing a New Testament Communion

And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.”- Luke 22:19

On the first day of the week we came together to break bread . . . - Acts 20:7

A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup- I Cor. 11:28

By Practicing a New Testament Stewardship

On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income . . . - I Cor. 16:2

By Living a New Testament Life

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. . . - II Peter 3:18

. . . Be faithful even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. - Revelation 2:10
